The south shore, and why people stay there

French Harbour is Roatán's working harbour — the fishing fleet, the marina, the supermarkets — and the resorts around it trade beach crowds for calm water and space. Parrot Tree, Pristine Bay, Barefoot Cay and Las Verandas all sit within a short drive of it, and all price as Zone 1.

A short ride, an easy first day

At roughly 20 minutes from RTB, French Harbour is one of the quickest arrivals on the island — useful if you land late or are travelling with small children. It is also the practical base for anyone splitting time between the reef and the East End.

Gated properties and marina access

Several south-shore communities are gated and need the guest name at the gate. Give us the property and the booking name when you request the ride and the entry is handled before you arrive.

Three zones along one road

Roatán runs about sixty kilometres end to end on a single main road, so what you pay is how far east you go.

Before you book

How much is a transfer from Roatán airport to West Bay?

From Juan Manuel Gálvez International (RTB) to West Bay is a flat $55 for 1–4 passengers and $85 for 5–9. West Bay, West End, Sandy Bay, Coxen Hole, French Harbour, Parrot Tree, Pristine Bay, Las Verandas and Próspera are all Zone 1, so they share that price.

Is the price per person or per group?

Per group, in two sizes. One to four people pay the same $55 to West Bay; five to nine pay $85. That is the main difference between a private transfer and a shared shuttle that charges per seat.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

We track the flight number you give us and shift the pick-up to match. Waiting time on a delayed arrival is not charged. If a flight is cancelled outright, just tell us on WhatsApp and we move the booking.

Where exactly do we meet at RTB?

Your driver waits just outside the arrivals hall, past customs, holding a sign with your name. RTB is small — you will not walk more than a minute. For cruise ports we meet at the taxi/tour area outside the terminal gate.

Do you carry dive gear and oversized luggage?

Yes. Tell us how many bags in the request form so the vehicle that comes has room for them — tanks, BCDs and rolling gear bags included.

Can you do a cruise port pick-up and get me back in time?

Yes, and the schedule is built backwards from your all-aboard time, not from when the excursion ends. We build in a buffer for island traffic so nobody is watching the clock on the drive back.
