Almost every arrival question about Roatán comes down to one number: what should the ride from the airport cost? Here is the honest version, with the prices we actually charge and the alternatives laid next to them.
The short answer
A private Roatán airport transfer is priced per group, by zone, in three steps across the island. It is not priced per person and it does not change with the time of day.

Those are one-way rates. Book the ride back to the airport in the same request and the round trip costs $10 less than two one-way fares: $100 instead of $110 for 1–4 people to Zone 1.
How the other options compare
There is nothing wrong with a taxi at the kerb — plenty of visitors take one and get a fair price. The trade-off is that you negotiate it after a four-hour flight, in a queue, with your luggage in your hands.

The two things that move the number
- How far east you are going. Roatán is 60 km long with one main road. West Bay is half an hour from RTB; Camp Bay can be eighty minutes. That distance is the whole reason the island is priced in zones.
- Group size, in two bands. One to four people pay the same fare; it steps up once, at five passengers, and covers up to nine.
Luggage is not a third price step, but tell us about it: put your bag count, dive gear included, in the request so the vehicle that comes has room for everything.
What does not change the price
- Landing at night or on a Sunday
- A delayed flight — we track it and wait
- Two stops in the same zone, such as a supermarket run on the way to the hotel (just ask first)
- Child seats, when you request one in advance
